Connie Hawkins, 1997

Player

 

Hawkins played high school ball at Boys and Girls HS in NYC then went to Iowa. Connie's career included time with the Harlem Globetrotters and a career in the ABA and NBA. In 1967-68 Hawkins was named the league MVP and let the Pittsburgh Pipers to the first ABA championship. After two years in the ABA, Hawkins switched to the NBA where he played for three different NBA teams.
