Remsen High School, Section 3

 

Coach Dave Gaylord directed his teams to 426 wins over a 29 year career. He retired 2nd on the Section 3 career wins list. His teams won 12 league championships and 2 Section 3 championships. The Remsen basketball court is named the Dave Gaylord Court in his honor. Dave was named Section 3 Coach of the Year and New York State Coach of the Year by the National Federation of Interscholastic Coaches Association. He served on the Section 3 basketball committee, Athletic Council, and as the league basketball chairman. Dave is a member of the Section 3 Basketball Hall of Fame and a member of the Greater Utica Sports Hall of Fame.
